Paulsson, Inc., a leader in advanced seismic and pipeline monitoring systems, sought to enhance its fiber-optic sensing capabilities by producing custom Fiber Bragg Gratings (FBGs) in-house. To meet this goal, they partnered with NorthLab Photonics, implementing the NORIA FBG Manufacturing System. The turnkey solution enabled Paulsson to fabricate high-quality FBGs on-site, improving sensor precision and accelerating development timelines.

With NORIA’s flexibility and NorthLab’s expert support, Paulsson gained full control over its grating designs, leading to more responsive and scalable solutions for harsh environments. CEO Björn Paulsson called the technology “transformative,” praising its role in strengthening their competitive edge in energy sensing applications.
