ELECTRONIC FIBER CLEAVER WITH MICRO POSITIONER
NorthLab ProCleave HS-MP – High Strength Fiber Cleaver with Micro Positioner
ProCleave HS-MP is a high-precision electronic fiber cleaver designed for the efficient production of in-line optical fiber lens systems. It enables micrometer-accurate control of individual lens segment lengths, making it ideal for advanced fiber-optic assemblies based on GRIN, coreless (CLF), and single-mode fibers. Typical applications include ultra-small probes, high-power beam delivery, and low-loss coupling between single-mode fibers.
Designed for both R&D and automated production environments, the ProCleave HS-MP handles fiber diameters from 80 to 250 μm. A built-in micro-positioner combined with a high-resolution digital linear scale allows precise and repeatable cleave length adjustment for each lens segment. Multiple segment lengths can be programmed to support semi-automated, software-guided production of complex fiber lens assemblies.
Advanced ultrasonic diamond scribe technology ensures excellent cleave quality, producing flat end faces, low cleave angles (typically < 0.5°), and minimal blade intrusion. A fast and user-friendly clamping mechanism supports high throughput, while flexible power options—including an external supply or an integrated rechargeable battery—enable both bench-top and mobile use. The ProCleave HS-MP is compatible with fiber holders from all major fusion splicer brands.*
