AUTOMATIC FIBER CLEAVER FOR SENSITIVE LARGE DIAMETER FIBERS
NorthLab ProCleave LD-EC
The ProCleave LD-EC (Extended Clamp) is an automatic and highly advanced fiber cleaver, specifically adapted for sensitive fiber structures like Photonic Crystal Fibers (PCF), Hollow Core (HC) and similar. The cleaver has an extended glass clamp mechanism, which minimizes the risk for damaging or breaking the fiber during the cleaving process.
The cleaver’s unique and universal clamping mechanism is self-adjusting to the fiber diameter applied, no external parts or accessories are required, the cleaver can handle fibers from 125-550 µm.
To achieve optimal cleave performance and repeatability, all crucial cleaving parameters are automatically monitored and controlled, results in very flat end faces and low cleave angles (typical <0.5°).
The ProCleave LD-EC can be programmed with four different cleave programs, easily selectable by the touch panel.
The ProCleave LD-EC is powered from the built-in rechargeable battery or an external power supply.
